Winterfat / Krascheninnikovia lanata

Krascheninnikovia lanata - what a mouthful!
From Plants of the Southwest in summer 2023

I put this out in the common area in some amended soil. It wants alkaline conditions and grows to a couple feet high, with blue green foliage that stays on all winter. It can be kept a bushy shrub by pruning in winter.

Only the female plants will have the fluffy white flowers, and they need a male nearby. So it's unlikely my plant will flower.

It's wild looking, like the chemisas all around it.
