From Bluestone Perennials summer 2019
They want a lot of moisture
Apparently it self seeds prolifically -- I'll have to keep an eye out for seedlings as I would like to keep this in my garden -- actually think I should move it to the dining room window garden where I need summer color and height behind the fescue grasses.
Mt. Cuba Center says the original plant is short lived, almost an annual, living only one year, but the self sown seedlings are everywhere and should keep it in the garden.
I got a half dozen, but only two survived the winter in pots and in 2020 I planted the two at the back of the potting bench curve.
As of the end of May 2020, only one survives, but it is doing well. It wilts without daily water.
The one remaining plant started to bloom in late June. The plant itself is tall and gawky, but the golden flowers are little.
