Cardinal Catchfly / Silene lanciniata

Silene lanciniata
Sometimes called Indian Pink
From Waterwise plant sale, spring 2020

I put two of these in some open spots in the potting bench curve that needed filling. It is supposed to want shade at least half the day.

Lots of orange red flowers. It's hard to see a photo of what the plant looks like, almost all shots are close ups of a just a couple flowers and they are small.

Apparently it has fine foliage and forms an upright clump. It does look reminiscent of a pink (Dianthus).

Did not thrive.
